Sophia’s Journal to be broadcast on KUAR
Sophia’s Journal has been chosen to be broadcast on KU Audio Reader, radio for the blind and print-disabled from the University of Kansas!
It will have the added benefit of a “read by the author” listing. Taping will start sometime next month, insha’Allah.
I’ll post the broadcast date when it’s available.

The Runaway Scarf
Star Writers (coming soon, insha’Allah…)
To see samples of each book’s TSGs visit http://muslimwriterspublishing.com and click on Islamic Schools, or go directly to http://muslimwriterspublishing.com/schools.html .

Short Story
Check out my short story, Carnage, that was just published in the Srping issue of Damazine! Click on the title to read the entire story. http://damazine.com
“Idris Ahmed wondered what had happened. At first there was just bewilderment. A sense that something huge had happened … but beyond that, just a void. All he remembered was buying vegetables. Then the pain clued him in…”
Damascus Book Launching Party
The Damascus Writers Group hosted a blowout launching party for Sophia’s Journal and for Damazine.com, the Literary Journal of the Muslim World, edited by Serene Taleb-Agha. This was my first reading and it was so exciting! We also heard poetry from Azizah & young poetess Malaak, plus an endearing and humorous short story from Serene. Many thanks to Aziza, who organized the shin-dig and graciously lent her house for the purpose!
